FAQs

What do I need to bring to the class?

You will need your own Yoga mat and a blanket or throw to keep warm for relaxation. Some also bring a cushion or sitting block, and sometimes a belt is handy, but you can collect these extra things over time.

What should I wear?

We always practice Yoga with bare feet. Gym clothes or loose layers are fine.

Can anyone do Yoga?

Yes, classes are designed for mixed abilities and always inclusive, welcoming both men and women. Children of regular students are also welcome but must be accompanied at all times.
However if you have any specific concerns please contact me privately.

What are the main benefits of yoga?

Regular Yoga practice can help in three ways.
The poses and movements (Asana) help to strengthen our bodies and increase flexibility.
The breathing techniques and meditation  (pranayama) has a calming influence and helps to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
The relaxation (yoga Nidra) helps to control our emotions and aid restful sleep.
